Technology
Digital Intra-Oral X-rays
Q1 Dental uses the technology of digital intra-oral x-rays to review your x-rays much faster than before using a high-resolution computer screen and ultra-sensitive digital x-ray sensors. This is a simpler version of taking x-rays as it removes the need for x-ray films and chemicals.
All x-rays taken at Q1 Dental are in digital format, which means patients are exposed to about one-third less radiation. X-ray images can be magnified and viewed on a computer screen. The x-rays are can be easily transferred between dentists and patients.
Digital OPG
OPG stands for orthopantomography and just like intra-oral x-rays, it is in a digital format. It uses a state of the art digital OPG machine. OPG provides a wide x-ray view of the lower face on a single film, which demonstrates the number, position, and development of the entire teeth, counting those that have not yet surfaced the gum line.
One x-ray image will allow the dentist to examine many different aspects of the patient’s dental health as well as wisdom teeth placement. Our OPG x-rays are bulk-billed with Medicare, which means that there’s no charge to the patients.
Intra-Oral Camera
We have an intra-oral camera to show the patients what we are looking at inside their mouth, allowing our dentists and the patient to view the dental needs of the patients before, during and after the treatment. As a patient, it will help you understand what’s happening throughout treatment and why you need to complete certain procedures.
Digital Photography
Our digital photography helps display the results of certain treatments including veneers and bleaching. Patients will be able to see the results next to a previous photo to really emphasize the difference.
General Equipment

Sterilisation
We pride ourselves in adhering to strict infection control protocols and standards of sterilisation to ensure a pleasant visit to our dental clinic and maintain a clean and hygienic practice at all times. The health of our patients is our top priority; thus, our surgery meets and surpasses all the government standards. This includes sterilisation of all dental tools and instruments as well as handpieces by autoclave.
