Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening is a straightforward and non-invasive procedure that uses hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide to whiten your dull and stained teeth. Methods of brightening your smile include in-office and take-home whitening systems.
At Q1 Dental, we know what a difference a bright, beautiful smile will have.
Over time, your teeth can become stained and discoloured, tarnishing your smile. That’s where our warm and friendly team steps in with our quick and effective teeth whitening procedure. We use a ‘green’ teeth-whitening system, using all natural ingredients. No pain or sensitivity. The treatment includes Dead Sea minerals and takes half the treatment time of any other system, under 1 hour.
Although there are many whitening options obtainable nowadays, including over-the-counter products, teeth whitening that is administered by your dentist remains the most preferred treatment because of its safe and highly effective method for lightening discoloured teeth.
For whitening a single root-filled tooth, internal bleaching may be required. The process involves placing some bleach on the inside of the tooth and leaving the substance there for a while. Several bleaching sessions may be required for this type of tooth.

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are one of the most effective and popular restorative treatments to rejuvenate teeth with discolouration, chips and in some cases align crooked teeth to help create a beautiful smile.
They are ideal for closing gaps and cover stained, crooked, chipped and worn teeth in-order to restore beauty and symmetry. The dental veneers are finely crafted from thin pieces of porcelain. They are then bonded to the front of your teeth and are incredibly strong and durable.
The process of porcelain veneers can be completed in two visits spaced about two weeks apart. Unlike composite veneers, porcelain material can last longer and is a far more conservative option to full dental crowns since the least amount of enamel has to be taken away.

Composite Bonding
Dental bonding is a conservative and non-invasive alternative to crowns and veneers. The process only requires a small amount of enamel to be removed followed by the bonding of tooth-coloured plastic cemented to the surface of the tooth. The plastic is moulded into the shape of the tooth. Your dentist will hard set the bonded teeth using a special white light.
Composite bonding is an all-in-one solution for damaged teeth as it can be used to repair a wide range of minor cosmetic dental issues such as closing the gaps in front teeth, covering a dark tooth, repairing a chipped or broken tooth and re-contouring a slightly crooked front tooth. Dental bonding is a relatively inexpensive procedure.

Crown and Bridges
Crowns:
Crowns restore strength, functionality and the look of weakened, damaged teeth. A crown sits over a tooth protecting the weakened structure underneath.
Bridges:
Bridges are designed to replace missing teeth and protect the supporting teeth. They can be a very effective method to increase chewing ability or correct bite problems arising from missing teeth.
Two appointments are usually required to prepare teeth for crowns or bridges. Restoring teeth with dental crowns or bridges improves the appearance and strength of damaged, decayed, fractured or weakened teeth.
- First visit: An upper and lower impression mould will be taken and used as a master impression. The tooth is shaped and measured and another impression is taken and sent to the dental ceramist. A temporary dental crown is fitted to the tooth at the end of the appointment to protect the prepared tooth.
- Second visit: Takes place 2-3 weeks after the initial appointment. There is no drilling needed in the visit as the temporary crown is removed and the permanent crown is put in its place. Once all is perfect, the crown or bridge is bonded to the teeth with a dental bonding agent.

Tooth Reshaping
This cosmetic dental treatment involves the removal of the dental enamel to enhance the appearance of the tooth. Tooth reshaping is best for correcting small chips or modifying the length, shape and position of teeth. The removed tooth enamel is irreplaceable, and is done in small amounts given that it may expose the dentin if done excessively.
