All families try to ensure that their children are happy and healthy, and healthy children are also key to Australia’s future. The healthy development of a child is one of the priorities of parents everywhere.

Dental health is a key foundation of overall health and the early years of a child’s life can be critically important in supporting a high level of dental hygiene and establishing good dental habits.

This is why Q1 Dental is happy to report that the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which protects some 3 million Australian Children, has been extended for 2017. At Q1 Dental we are looking forward to working with are you and your children, by offering services under the CDBS!

Updates on the Child Dental Benefits Schedule

Entering 2017 the CDBS was to be capped at $700, but on the 8th of February it was announced that the CDBS benefit cap entitlement under the CDBS was pushed back up to $1,000. This means that all eligible children will continue to have access to a benefit cap of $1,000 over a two-year period.

Australian Dental Association President Dr. Hugo Sachs, was happy with the decision. “Following discussions between Minister Hunt and the association, the minister has acted decisively. He is putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to supporting the CDBS which is strong investment in early intervention for children’s dental heath,” he said.
